流程管理(BPM)与企业应用系统的分析内容提要:
It is helpful to consider this “automation and adaptation” model when looking at the requirements for adaptive BPM technologies. At the core of BPM is automation. The outer circle is a ring of adaptation. The top half of the circle deals with “business centric” adaptation; the ability to handle exceptions to standard procedures or deal with changes to roles or rules or business conditions. The bottom half of the circle deals with “human centric” adaptation; or the ability of the BPM system to enable people to collaborate with others and to have the usability that allows workers to perform their tasks in a natural and intuitive manner.
Inevitably, the day you deploy your new BPM system is the very day someone will see the need to make a change or enhancement. And, inevitably, some users will need to make exceptions. As such, BPM systems need to adapt to these changes and exceptions. If the system is inflexible and cannot meet the changing needs of the business, workers will be forced to work around the system. Over time, as the system becomes more removed from the realities of the business, people will revert to the old, inefficient ways of doing business, and eating into the expected savings.
